A process design kit (PDK) contains all the tools needed for designing a circuit. It will include the verified component library of all the active and passive building blocks needed to build high-speed modulators. The PDK will be implemented in professional EPDA software such as Synopsys as well as in open-source software such as gdsfactory. It will have the basic capabilities for layout creation and more advanced features such as component level and circuit level simulation. The first version of the component library has been completed and will soon be validated through our next engineering run. A preliminary version of the PDK is already available for layout creation is already available in Synopsys and gdsfactory.
